Gaming Table: Thanksgiving 4 Player Free-for-all

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I managed to squeeze in a game of Age of Sigmar with my three brothers. In the interest of time and to accommodate the younger players, each of us had a 500 point army, with no allegiance abilities, just the straight up warscroll rules. I was playing a mixed Skaven list, versus a Stormcast, Slaves to Darkness, and Cities of Sigmar armies. The objective was to be the last one standing.

The board was created using 2 panels from the Blasted Hallowheart terrain set, which I beleive is no longer for sale. The terrain was various handmade scatter pieces along with some trees from the old citadel woods kit. I, the Skaven, deployed across from the Stormcast, while the Slaves to Darkness deployed across from the Cities of Sigmar.

The Chaos Chosen made it quicky across the board to slaughter the poor halbediers before they got an answer from the second unit of halbediers. Meanwhile, the plague monks made a long charge into the Stormcast line where they proceeded to deliver one total damage. The Liberators and Knight Incantor soon dispatched them before moving forward.

My Warpfire Thrower made some headway into the Stormcast Judicators (converted from Castigators), before exloding in proper Skaven form. A lone Skyre Acolyte stared down the approaching Liberators before he too was killed. My Clawlord, backed into a corner, slaughtered the Liberators to a man before his remaining wound was unceremoniously deleted by an Arcane Bolt.

In a last bid effort, my Warplock Engineer attempted to overcharge his staff, but again, in typical Skaven fashion, blew himself up. With that, the Stormcast marched to the other side of the table where the Cities of Sigmar had finished killing off the last of the Chaos Warriors. With several arcane blasts, the Cities battlemage was able to kill off the remaining Stormcast models, securing the victory for the valiant people of Heldenmarch.

This was a very fun, simple game with a lot of memorable moments. I hope everyone else had a fun Thanksgiving as well!
