About

Welcome to my blog, Space Dinosaur Miniatures, where I ramble about my various hobby shenanigans in and around the worlds of Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragon. If you're lucky, I'll even take a break and talk about something different.

First off, a big thank you for reading my blog. I know there's a lot of content out there all vying for your attention, so I appreciate you taking the time to stop by in my little corner of the internet. Feel free to say hello and comment on any of my posts, I swear I'm a friendly dinosaur!

A cursory glance of the blog would tell you that I'm heavily invested in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe: and you'd be right. I've been collecting and building Age of Sigmar since 2016, and Pirates CSG way before that since 2005. It was sort of a gateway drug for me. I currently collect multiple armies in Age of Sigmar, and there always seems to be more. Stormcast Eternals, Blades of Khorne/Slaves to Darkness, Skaven, High Elves/Dark Elves, Seraphon, Soulblight Gravelords, Cities of Sigmar, Bretonnia, Nighthaunt, Idoneth Deepkin, Kruleboyz, Sylvaneth and Lumineth Realmlords. My most beloved army remains the Seraphon, who combine my love of dinosaurs and fantasy with some cool Aztec/Mayan themes thrown in. You'll see each army in various posts here, although some get more attention than others at times.

Speaking of dinosaurs, the blog gets its name from Huygen the Space Dinosaur, a character I created for a non-existent comic book series I briefly flirted with creating. His name is taken from the Huygens probe that launched on the Cassini probe to Saturn and explored the moon Titan. I drew a few initial sketches, one of which is the image above that now serves as the logo of this blog. Huygen lives on in the name of this blog, and since in Age of Sigmar Lizardmen became space faring dinosaurs known as Seraphon, it fits even better. Huygen himself may pop up from time to time in little sketches, when he feels like it.

Anyways, thanks dear readers, I enjoy making these and I hope to continue for a long while.
