Narrative: Giants of Menhir

Today will be a quick post covering a nice little picture I was able to snap after a game with my brothers. The set-up was a 3-way battle for the tower, with Stormcast/Giants of Menhir vs Anvilgard/Amber Fiefdoms vs Slaves to Darkness/Skal Flats.

Although I wasn't able to get photos of the other armies, I did get my Stormcast Eternals/Giants of Menhir. In my own home-brew lore, the Stormcast Eternals represent the denizens of Menhir, the northernmost country in the Silverlight Region. The country is named so for the great standing stones that dot its landscape, and it is said that the goddess Nuada Brigid laid down the stones herself.

The Menhirites claim that the blood of their goddess runs through their veins, and attribute their large statue and impressive strength to this legend. The great tower shields are meant to be a representation of the stones themselves, and each is imbued with a fragment from a menhir.

The Skal Tribes worship Nuada's brother, Fionghan, and while similar, the differences in practice lead to conflict more often than not.

In this battle, the Menhirites were able to overcome the Skal warriors to claim the tower, regardless of the Amber Fiefdom skirmish force that had been hired as mercenaries.
