Hobby Table: Dire Wolves, Necromancer, and Skink Starpriest

The last couple of days have seen 7 new models completed. For the first round we have some Legions of Nagash models, or, in my little corner of the universe, these troops hail from the ruins of Ravenmarch. This is the eastern half of Heldenmarch, and the two were once a whole country until the folly of the Amethyst Cult drove the kingdom in two. This lore is reflected in my necromancer, whose robes of purple, which once were a symbol of the Amethyst Cult, are hidden beneath tattered robes.

A necromancer wills his dire wolves to attack.

You may have noticed that these are not the Dire Wolves models provided by Games Workshop. I think those models are a little hokey, so I got a box of Chaos Hounds instead. A little green stuff for the tails and ears helps to sell them as normal wolves, and the paint job gives them a decrepit and decaying look.

Finally we have the Skink Starpriest who will be slinging some spells as soon as the quarantine is over. I went with a pretty standard paint scheme, but the tip of his staff is made to look like jade. I accomplished this by basing the staff in Shining Silver from Army Painter and generously lathering Waystone Green. Seriously, glop this on there to give it that deep vibrant green color. Just make sure to not let it get splotchy.
