Review | Space Dinosaur Miniatures 2022 and a Look Forward to 2023

Another year gone by and here we are at the end, which means it's time for the annual Year In Review for the Space Dinosaur Miniatures. This has been a good year, with Covid waning allowing for more activities, but I still got a good amount of minis done.

Merry Christmas! Hope every one is enjoying their holiday, I know I am. I've been working through the Echoes of Doom box that I got and it's been rather fun! I guess I have Sylvaneth now...

Hobby | Ebay Rescues Demigryph Knights and Direwolves

The world of miniature wargaming is an expensive place. GW is king of that world, an suitably so, they charge a hefty price for minis. I, however, cannot afford to pay that hefty price for every single mini. And so I turn to other places, mostly Ebay, to feed my addiction. Usually, I buy bulk lots for cheap that are either unpainted or badly painted, and I clean them up and get going from there. From time to time, there are some models that come painted juuuust well enough where I get a time savings and I give some models a new home. And that's how I ended up with these three Demigryph Knights and a unit of five "direwolves". 

Paint Recipe | How to Paint Untamed Beasts

After an eternity of painting, I have finally finished painting the Untamed Beasts warband from Warcry. And man, was that an effort. I seem to have a tendency to go for a higher standard with these sets, even if there are a bunch of chaff units in them. But, they're done, and in this post, I will show you my paint recipe for the Untamed Beasts.

WIP | Reaper Miniatures, The Elder Scrolls Minis, and Dungeons & Lasers

Another month has rolled by, and more minis have made there way through the painting table. The Untamed Beasts, which I've touched on in the previous WIP post, are now well and truly complete. I'm currently working on the Paint Recipe post for them, so that should be coming out here pretty soon. Not one to be content with the minis I have though, I have gone and purchased a couple of things recently.

Review | Battle Systems Fantasy Village - Great Coverage for Cost

I've been on a bit of a terrain bender recently. It's a nice break from all of the fine detail painting with miniatures. I have terrain of all sorts, from plastics and MDF to paper. But I came across a company, Battle Systems, that creates terrain made from a dense cardboard material. I decided to give it a try, and you can read on below for my Battle Systems Fantasy Village review. 

WIP | Untamed Beasts Paint Scheme

November will be a relatively slow month for the Space Dinosaur, as I'm heading out for a two week adventure. I am, however, working on a couple things that should pop up either this month or in December. 

Hobby | Knight of Shrouds (Spooktober)

Before the month completely closes out, I had to get a Spooktober post out, as is tradition. I haven't done much in the way of mini painting recently, as I've been focused on terrain, but I managed to get this one finished. In my army, this model serves as a Knight of Shrouds. In reality, this is a limited edition Bladegheist Revenant named Garkorr.
